Hurricane Leslie Moving Towards Portugal

NASA-NOAA’s Suomi NPP satellite captured Hurricane Leslie over the Eastern Atlantic Ocean on October 11, 2018.  Hurricane Leslie is projected to continue to travel toward southern Spain and Portugal. According to NASA, on October 12, 2018 at “2p.m. EDT (1800 UTC), the center of Hurricane Leslie was located near latitude 33.3 degrees north and longitude 26.1 degrees west.”  Leslie is expected to transition in a post-tropical cyclone by the evening of October 13, 2018.
